Do come and join us for a sacred fire ceremony to celebrate the autumn equinox, and Light of the Water. The equinoxes and solstices, where day and night are of equal length, were seen by the Celts as powerful times for transition. The ceremony starts at 8pm and there will be refreshments afterwards. If you feel like bringing biccies or a small offering of food or tea to share it is very welcome and much appreciated!
The fire is in Renville Park in Oranmore –If you are coming from Galway go straight through Oranmore Village passing the Texaco station on your right. Then take the slip road on the right to Maree, the Galway Bay Sailing Club, Galway Bay Golf Club and Marine Institute.
If you are coming from Gort direction drive heading to Galway – turn off into Oranmore, you will pass a Lidl on your right – take the next little slip road on the left this heads to Maree, the Galway Bay Sailing Club, Galway Bay Golf Club and Marine Institute
We meet at main car park at bottom of the park opposite the sea for those who are new to the fire & walk together to the fire pit.
Alternatively, when you are parked walk up along the path heading for the trees to the left and go straight through the path crossroads which will bring you to a bridge and you will see a castle ahead. Walk to the castle and you will see us opposite it.
Look forward to seeing you there!
