Many native peoples and historic traditions have forecast the energy changes and rising of consciousness on earth around the time of 2012. In order for this transition into divine consciousness to fully occur, any souls or spirits that are trapped between the worlds of this dimension and the heavenly dimension need to be freed to return home into the pure Light of Divine Spirit.

They stay behind for many reasons, such as a fear of being judged, attachment to a place or a person still living or not being aware that they are dead.

As the vibration is heavier in the physical dimension, the trapped spirits will take energy from the people or places in which they reside in order to stay there. Healing beyond the grave i.e. the returning of these spirits home is critical to restore the balance of energies towards a higher consciousness and to ensure that no one is left behind before this transition occurs.

In order for a spirit to go home in peace, the healing of any outstanding issues from the spirit's lives need to occur. Fears, memories, sadness, or traumas need to be released to allow them to go on in peace. If these energies are not cleared they will stay with the spirit even though they have passed over. As a consequence of the release of these spirits and the heaviness, sadness, patterns and traumas they carried, the person or place they occupied or were attached to, are also freed.

Most times all the soul or spirit needs is a little reassurance that it is ok to go home and that their loved ones will be waiting for them. Angels of transition and their ancestors can also be asked to help to move them on into the Light. To send a spirit home in peace is a very powerful and beautiful thing to do for any healer.

Occasionally a greater level of healing is required where more traumatic or heavier energies need released before the spirit is free. These negative energies may take many forms such as curses, past life attachments or active darker energies that have their own agenda. In certain cases 'evil' spirits or energies have been described in people or places. Evil is man made, created out of fear to control us. The so called 'evil' part of the spirit results from trapped fears, emotions, beliefs or energy forms that are not part of the higher whole - once these are removed and the spirit is free, the problem is overcome.

Similarly spirits/ghosts that are disturbed and cause activities such as moving things or creating havoc to get notice is because they often want someone to help them. The healer's job is to reassure the spirit and make sure the spirit is freed from fear from a non-judgemental space giving healing and help where required. When these spirits/ghosts are removed the energy of the person or place becomes lighter and balance is restored. The energy of the person is also restored to a closer expression of their true selves as they may have been expressing the energies of the soul or spirit that were previously with them. For example some alcoholics are being or expressing the energy of the spirits or souls trapped within or attached to them rather their own true energies.

Another important aspect of energy clearing of properties and land, especially that which is for sale, involves the release of spirits that are residing or stuck in the place. These trapped spirits and energies may prevent the sale of the premises as people will often unknowingly pick up on these energies, remarking that the 'place doesn't feel right' for example. Most times when a spirit release is carried out the property sells and the energy changes for the better.
